One of the 5 Grand Palaces, visit at night(open until 9pm, closed Mondays) for a unique experience. Also, check out the Jeong-dong Observation Deck during the day for a great overview of the palace.

Nice palace. One of the smaller palaces around downtown seoul. They hold a traditional show with dancers in one of the huts at 7pm. Beautiful green scenery all around.

Catch the changing of the guard ceremony just outside the front gate. 11am on Saturdays (unsure about other times). Covered under the Busan temple pass which gives you access to 5 for 10,000 Won.

Admission fee to the palace grounds is just KRW 1000. It has less visitors compared to Gyeongbokgung. Make sure to catch the changing of the guards ceremony!

Deoksugung Palace became a proper palace when Gwanghaegun (1575-1641) ascended to the throne and gave this royal residence the name Gyeongungung Palace in 1611.
