NaoMay 1, 2024ゴットフリード・ワグネル・・ドイツの化学者・近代窯業の父。1868(慶應4)に来日、長崎での石鹸製造事業に参画後、佐賀藩に招かれ有田焼に代表される窯業技術の発展に尽力。その後上京し、近代的な科学技術教育を目的とした専門学校の設立を進言、1881(明治14)に東京職工学校が設置。現在の東京工業大学である。自らも教壇に立ち、日本の窯業技術の近代化に尽力。
