2012年12月2日午前8時頃、上り線トンネルの大月市側出口から約1700m付近で崩落事故が発生。 重さ1tほどのトンネル天井板が100m以上にわたってV字型に折り重なるように崩れ落ち、走行中の自動車3台が下敷きとなる大惨事となりました。 冬になると長野でのスキーにいつも利用しているトンネル。亡くなられた方のご冥福をお祈りいたします。
