We only had 3 full days (and a portion of the two days on the beginning & end) in New Orleans this time, but we tried to make the most of it, at least food-wise.

Starr Capps: Can't go to New Orleans without visiting here at least once, if not every day! It's an iconic institution with historical significance. Don't wear a black shirt!
739 Iberville St (Btw Royal St. & Bourbon St.), New Orleans, LA
Seafood Restaurant · Central Business District · 271 tips and reviews
Starr Capps: Decent prices, casual atmosphere, YUMMY oysters (we got them on the half shell), and delicious bread pudding (we split one order). Caution: Their horseradish is POTENT, it *will* kick your butt!
Cajun and Creole Restaurant · French Quarter · 173 tips and reviews
Starr Capps: Fried shrimp Po'Boy was fantastic. One sandwich was enough to split between two adults. Beware, it's crowded! Closes at 3, so don't expect to get dinner there.
Starr Capps: Good prices considering the quality of the food. I like the Shrimp Creole, hubby had the crawfish etouffeé. Found a coupon in our hotel's tourist magazine that got us a free Shrimp Remoulade! Yum!

Starr Capps: We liked this place the first time we ate there, but this time it wasn't good. Rabbit Jambalaya was just OK. Gumbo was terrible. (Maybe whoever made it just had a bad roux-making day, I hope!)
