I lose count of how many cask/keg/bottled stuff they have here, but there is a LOT! Spoilt for choice, I defy anyone who cannot find something they like. Great staff; a must visit for lovers of beer!
Lovely place, really nice inside and friendly staff. Now a brewpub; sit and have a pint with the smell of boiling wort from the cellar swilling round the air!
Better choice, range and price (starting @ £2.10-ish a pint) of beers than Head of Steam - (other side of station). 10 handpulls, mostly local - TT Landlord/Best Bitter + DarkStar HopHead regulars.
Used to be my local; taken over in May 2010 by new owners. They've done a great refurb and provide a range of 4 rotating beers, with regulars Hawkshead Red, Thwaites Wainwright and their House Ale. Read more.
