Best places to visit in the Philadelphia area

Marie B: Always something different. Giant heart is a big attraction, you've been warned. Check out the special exhibits that go in there...they are worth the money.

Marie B: Okay, so it's not much for the money but seeing statues of the Constitution signers is pretty cool. Plus they do run special events that are worth it.

Marie B: This place is so much better since its days as the NJ State Aquarium. Little tip: Take the RiverLine down there because driving there leaves a lot to be desired.

Marie B: I heard they added more to the tour but for the history freak in all of us, this is one of the coolest places to go.

Marie B: You gotta get to the visitors center early for the tickets.

Marie B: It's just not another boat museum. It actually tells the history of the Philadelphia waterfront...which is actually pretty cool.

Marie B: This place was more fun when the tour guides actually dressed in costume. Sure it's a great history lesson but it's not as fun as it used to be.

Marie B: This place is so much fun. Check it out around Christmas when they reenact the crossing of the Delaware River.

Marie B: This is actually pretty cool if you're into old boats. It's also a great place to recite lines from the movie Down Periscope.

Marie B: It's a little far from the city but man is it worth it. It's not everyday you see a house that looks like an elephant.

Marie B: If you love freaks, go here. If you hate freaks, go here. Either way, go here. It's the perfect place if you need a laugh after losing money in the casino.

Marie B: Bring the kids! They'll love the dinosaurs and butterflies!

Marie B: Probably the most fun you can have at a sculpture garden. Has both indoor and outdoor stuff & it's all really good.

Marie B: Go ahead, run up the stairs...everyone else does.

Marie B: Yes, it's a church but seriously it's very beautiful. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to take in EVERYTHING.

Marie B: It's not just for Halloween, kids. Go see Al Capone's cell. That's pretty cool.

Marie B: A bit cliche but it's a must see. Be prepared for the security though & good luck finding where people tried to hit the bell at.

Marie B: There is a small exhibit about US currency and finance in the lobby. It's one of those places that very few know of.

Marie B: Little known trivia: If you toss a penny onto Ben Franklin's grave and it comes up heads, your wish will come true. Remember, a penny saved is a penny earned.

Marie B: Try the peanut butter donuts. They're so yummy!
