The Golden Chapel in the Cathedral is the Pantheon of monarchs of the Piast dynasty. It was designed in 1837 by Italian Francesco Lanzi and embellished by mosaics of the sculptor Liborio Salandri.
It is steeped in the Italian Renaissance style by architect Giovanni Battista Quadro (XVI sec.), author of Ratusz and some of the most beautiful kamienice that overlook Stary Rynek
