Not only is the library here simply fantastic, but the grounds are so magical that seemingly every third movie you see has scenes shot on their grounds. Thousands of great places to read here!
Quiet and serene place for reading, but there are lots of benches and idyllic places around the relatively small campus for a long read.
Definitely a quirky place, but there's something lovely in the atmosphere here for reading and the views out the front window can be stunning.
A generally unremarkable interior, but lawns are lovely for reading under the shade trees in Spring/Summer. An outside table at the coffee house across the way is also a nice way to spend some time.
Almost anywhere on the first floor is fantastic, but the main hall defines the quintessential reading palace with its broad desks, lamps, and dark wood paneling.
Some stunning architecture here. It's so wonderfully majestic in places you may be too distracted to read!

A typical Starbucks, but atypical in the crowd it attracts. Close to CalTech, USC Med Campuses, & Fuller people are always reading & studying a diversity of topics giving it a unique flavor.
The 3rd floor has a spectacular collection of 3,000+ plays - just ask for the key and save the trip to Samuel French. They have a fabulous bar and some awesome couches to sink into while you read.
