Pam Rumer: Groceries, gas, Burlington Coat Factory, Big 5, Starbucks in one direction. Target, Michaels, Famous Footwear, 24-Hour Fitness, Walgreens, Walmart and independent and chain restaurants in the other.

Pam Rumer: This exit has a retail stores like Nordstrom Rack, Ross, Marshall's and many more. Plus restaurants (like Elephant Bar, Sammy's Wood Fired Pizza), more!

Pam Rumer: San Marcos Blvd. is home of San Marcos "Restaurant Row."

Pam Rumer: Cal State University San Marcos is located at this exit. It is a beautiful campus. Lots of stores, banks, and eating establishments in this area.

Pam Rumer: Red pies, white pies, calzones and salads. Bronx pizza is favorite, but others are good too.

Pam Rumer: Lots of kids clothes and shoes. Bright colors, tons of flip flops (far more than shown in this pictures), bathing suits, belts, jewelry, more!

Pam Rumer: Check the sale flyers at the store entrance or in Sunday's paper.

Pam Rumer: Gas is cheaper here than in San Diego. No scenic tax.

Pam Rumer: New Luxury Homes, approximately 1/2 dozen builders. Golf course lots available.

Pam Rumer: Never ever ever go to Costco on a Saturday. Parking lot and store are packed. Every line is long!

Pam Rumer: Oceanside Chamber offers great local business networking; events; relationships, seminars, information, tools, advertising. Plus, special services to small, mediums and large business members.

Pam Rumer: 4 Double Aisles of Cards, for every occasion. Best selection I've seen outside of a Hallmark store.

Pam Rumer: Look at the Oceanside City Council meeting schedule and plan to attend one. Very educational!

Pam Rumer: Made appt online At Apple Genius Bar. Wide choice of appt. times and dates. No wait at store. No line. Phone fixed! All in under 1-hour from start to finish.

Pam Rumer: During checkout CSR shares that iPhone 5 available for $149 with 2-year contract from AT&T, Verizon, Sprint when sale-priced. (Not Today)!

Pam Rumer: Check the weekly sale insert. Stock-up on regularly used items. Example: Pepperoni buy 1, get 1.
