David Blurton: Best place for brunch. Opens at 11am. Expect to wait a bit for a table. Not cheap, but you won't need to eat for the rest of the day. Recommendation: Steak and eggs
David Blurton: Menu of 20 or so craft beers, changes every few weeks. Always a good selection of Icelandic and foreign beers. All my important talking gets done here. Recommendation: Leifur (or any Borg beer)
David Blurton: Best coffee shop. Run by a couple, one of them from the UK. They serve "British" snacks - scones and pasties. These are nothing like in the UK. Recommendation: Regular coffee with refill
David Blurton: Best coffee shop if you don't want to take the trip to Hafnarfjörður. They have another location downtown which is smaller and busier. Overbearingly hipster, but a nice place for a chat.

David Blurton: Family-run pizza shop that makes fantastic pizza. Closed Monday - how many times have I forgotten that. Eat in or take away. Recommendation: Pepperoni Trio
David Blurton: A fun collection of wine bars, food and restaurants. There are shared benches so everyone can get something different. Recommendation: Glass of wine at Kröst.
