A visit to Zouk is a must for anyone in Singapore, whether as a tourist or expat. Probably the best club in Singapore with consistently good music & good crowd. Visit 80's Mambo Night on Wednesday.
Awesomely degenerate club that's great fun for a messy night out. Great for trance and electro. Full of teenagers and National Servicemen. Drinks aren't too expensive either.
Butter Factory is one of the hippest night spots in Singapore for 20-somethings at the moment. Divided into two rooms (one indie/electro, the other hiphop/rnb). Butter Iced Tea leads to bad hangovers.
Decadence powered by new money & credit cards. Conspicuous consumption is the norm: flying champagne corks abound. Try to spot Eduardo Saverin, Facebook's Co-Founder. Similar to HK's Beijing Club.
Singapore's alternative nightspot. A wonderful place for interesting, friendly people & great music (DnB, techno, etc). Home Club is to Singapore what the Chestnut Tree Cafe is to Orwell's 1984.
Emerging as one of the hotter nightspots in town. Lots of hot girls & well-dressed guys. Challenging to order drinks. Arguably overtaking Filter - though it's run by the same management.
Phuture is the younger cousin to Zouk (if that's even possible!). Lots of NSmen (young male conscripts off duty) and students looking to get loose and to hook up. Hip hop, rap and some electronica.
One of Singapore's most infamous meat markets. Lots of fun. Two floors of madness, loud music and testosterone. Be ready for long queues (for guys at least) and aggressive bouncers on Wed, Fri & Sat.
Cheap alcohol. If you want to experience a night out in Singapore like the locals do it, or simply want to pre-game before heading to Zouk, buy your booze here and drink along the river.
One of the best bars in Singapore, and probably its only speakeasy! Amazing cocktails, great service and excellent decor + ambience. The crowd is great, too. Great for small groups of friends.
