Try their delicious soup dumplings (xiao long bao!). Their BBQ meats are excellent.
Sachi's serves traditional Hawaiian food. I personally love their spam musubis, and they have so many varieties. Also, try their tuna poke - it's freshly made at the supermarket.
Clean Chinese grocery store. Last time I was here, they had a class to teach kids how to make Doraemon lunch boxes.
HUGE Japanese grocery store in downtown San Mateo. They have mitarashi dango for sale here :)
Breakfast, anyone? Fine, it's a chain, but their carrot raisin nut muffins are awesome. I don't even like carrots or raisins!
All the kids I knew from high school were obsessed with this place. I'm not a huge fan of Mexican food, but when I go, I like it here.
This place is new and sort of hard to find, but they have really great teas!
Caveat - I haven't tried this place yet, but it's on my list of places I'd like to check out :)
Start here, and walk around the boardwalk towards the amphitheatre. Look up at the old Visa building. Check out the Oracle buildings in the distance. Watch the sunset! Isn't Foster City beautiful?
