Good Eats: Boston Edition

Elaine Courtney: Two words: Seafood Pho! I always ask for just shrimp, unless you like the eclectic mix which includes fish cake. Rice noodles always arrive cooked just right. My boyfriend swears by the rice plates!

Elaine Courtney: Oysters, littleneck clams, and bomb-diggity lobster roe noodles - this restaurant has all my favorites! I always get the Moon Shoals - NE oysters are brinier to begin with but these are just perfect.

Elaine Courtney: Beautiful place to relax for tea and biscuits! Best of all, the tea service is available throughout the week.

Elaine Courtney: I love almost everything here, including old favorites like the mint lemonade, and new ones such as the Turkey Cutlet sandwich! They make a pretty mean latte too.

Boston.com: Basho Japanese Brasserie — a welcome addition to the Fenway — specializes in a contemporary take on the kind of food served at izakaya, or Japanese gastropubs. Read more.

Elaine Courtney: The Taj used to be a Ritz, and it came with a traditional afternoon tea service, replete with live classical music. Go there to enjoy low tea à la aristocrats of the past.

Elaine Courtney: Get ready for some bomb zaru udon. I always get mine with tempura shrimp. And really affordable too! It's part of a "cafeteria strip" and right at the end - you might miss it if you walked by quickly.

Elaine Courtney: When Alex used to work there he made the BEST MOCHA my boyfriend and I had in our lives. They also have some yummy onigiri - get the spicy tuna ones!

Elaine Courtney: The food was good but I especially love the tea service! Beautiful atmosphere with a great view of Boylston for some amazing people-watching - get a table by the window.

Elaine Courtney: Still probably the best ramen in the Boston-Cambridge-Somerville area! You won't go wrong with the ikura rice bowl and ramen combo.

Elaine Courtney: Brunch here is amazing. Breakfast pizza, anti-benedict, grilled chicken sandwich are all must-haves! Wash everything down with a pint of Rising Tide Ishmael and you'll be golden.

Elaine Courtney: Their chocolate drinks are creamy and rich, and their cakes delightfully delectable! An update of your regular coffee shop.

Elaine Courtney: The British got ramen right! I love this place for its pretty good ramen AND it doesn't hurt that they do fresh juices too. Come here after a brutal gym sesh for a hearty post-workout recovery meal.

Elaine Courtney: Best. Ice-cream. Ever. If I'm feeling a teensy bit less indulgent I get a malted chocolate shake. Literally craving one now as I type this.

Elaine Courtney: Love, love, LOVE their crepes, both savory and sweet. Get the Affectation - you can't go wrong with bacon, goat cheese and fig! Their Nutella hot chocolate is a great pick-me-up for chocoholics.

Xavier Teo: This is the best place for Dim Sum in boston, great place for dinner as well. Reasonable prices great local vibe. I'm chinese so trust me. Read more.

Elaine Courtney: I don't usually do tacos, but when I do, I Do-rado. Okay, bad pun aside, this place has the best shrimp tacos! Coming from someone who's lived in San Diego for 3 years - THIS IS FORREAL, guys.

Elaine Courtney: Try some REAL Italian homestyle food here. With the low prices and mamma-made goodness, you won't go wrong! It also functions as a little Italian dried goods store - get Baci there!

Elaine Courtney: Make your wishes come true by finishing EVERYTHING in your ramen bowl. (It's huge though!) The servers and everyone will yell a congratulatory "perfect!". Broth is rich and creamy, perfect for winter.

Ned P.: Dim Sum! Having a Chinese speaker in your group is not essential but a big help. Huge space - excellent for sizeable gatherings - small ones too.

Elaine Courtney: For its proximity to campus and the quality of food, I'm surprised why they don't see more customers. Get the Pad Woon Sen - it's a palate winner!

Elaine Courtney: Their pasta kills me. SOOOO good! Anything with seafood in it is just perfect. Best of Napoli indeed!

Elaine Courtney: Really nice contemporary tea service that goes on till late - excellent location to unwind!

Elaine Courtney: If you're in Boston you have to try a "Legal" restaurant - and this joint has some of the best seafood salads. It's a legit meal in itself!
