Colorado: Follow the marked pedestrian trail just south of Main Street. The one-acre fishing hole is a popular attraction stocked with trout in the spring and home to bass, crappie, catfish and bluegill.
Colorado: Welcoming boaters and fishers to the 4,600-acre lake, the park is also home to 400 campsites, miles of hiking trails, picnic areas and ranger-led activities.

Colorado: Do as the Ute Indians did: soak in the area’s mineral-rich pools. Volcanic rock 35,000 feet below the earth’s surface heats the water that fills the pools at the town’s namesake resort.
Colorado: The laid-back county seat’s Western character is revealed in historic boardwalks and hitching posts alongside parking spots. The lake itself attracts waterskiers, fishers, sailors and beach relaxers.
Colorado: At the top of the lift, the Trestle Bike Park, alpine slide, climbing wall, 18 holes of mini-golf, bungee trampolines and a giant maze keep the summer mountain-top fun going.
Colorado: Head to Frisco, where you can rent canoes, kayaks, pontoon boats and paddle boats to explore 25 miles of shoreline. Then stop off at the Peninsula Recreation Area for disc golf, picnics and hiking.
