Tex-Mex/Latin-Amer Restaurants in Houston Bay Area

Order of preference from best to worst: #1-10 are worth a drive, #11-20 are typical Tex-Mex, and only #21-23 are terrible. Haven't yet tried Las Haciendas or Chipotle (really!). No quiero Taco Bell.
Bobby Salmon: The pork tamales are a must-have! This grocery store and meat market has a small restaurant area in front. It helps to speak a little Spanish, but if you don't then just be patient and polite. :)

Bobby Salmon: This place is popular but I find it overpriced and strangely loud. Loud as in, I even wonder if they actually pipe in crowd sounds with the music. Hurts my ears.
Bobby Salmon: Not sure why this chain is so popular in Houston, but the decor is nice and the food is okay if you don't want to leave the immediate Baybrook Mall area.
Bobby Salmon: Nice interior decor, but had a bad experience with waitstaff last time I went. They refused to let us scoot adjacent tables together for our large group and were quite rude about it. Never went back.

Bobby Salmon: Decent standard Tex-Mex. Nondescript exterior but cozy and clean inside. Very friendly service. Not too many choices for Mexican on this side of Clear Lake so I'll probably return eventually.

Bobby Salmon: Cheapo Tex-Mex made w/ sub-par ingredients. Dirty front door. Chili con queso: cup of grainy melted cheese w/ single sliver of grn pepper. Pollo con mole: overcooked & flavorless w/ rubbery cheese.
