FamilyFun: There are a lot of contenders for "best beach" in Ventura, but we lean toward this one. It's a mile-long stretch that's great for kids. There's also a cluster of restaurants at the beach's midpoint.
FamilyFun: Quieter than Ventura Pier (and about 2 miles south), this park on the beach has a zip line, swings, a sand volleyball court, and a big wooden play ship.
FamilyFun: Stroll through the mission's beautiful gardens, then browse the shops along the palm-tree lined street. Don't forget to pop into an ice-cream shop!
