Great embankment with lots of fish restaurants and ships. Try to go here in the sunny weather - view in the port is amazing.
At the Starbucks of the square you can ask for the free walking tours, those are very useful if you go for the very first time
Grab a coffee to-go, sit on a bench and relax! If you want to be more active, it´s ideal for jogging too.
A heaven for vegetarians. Truly mind blowing. You can choose from a huge variety of items. I liked the one with yoghurt and crisps. Price is reasonable.

Great Restaurant! Everything tastes great in here. For me and my girl its the best restaurant in Hamburg. Try the choclate malheur as dessert. Its epic!
The animals are set more freely than in zoo Berlin for example...the variety of animals is very good and the aquarium really worth every penny
It only takes about two hours to see everything here. If you have more than four hours of time, you should buy a "Kombikarte" which allows you to access the zoo and the aquarium for a reduced fare.
Some truly good exhebitions on modern art - mostly in the main (large) wing. Has a photography house as well - which sometimes has good stuff as well. Really nice: the next door restaurant for lunch!
