My kids' favourite breakfast/brunch spot. Noisy, youthful crowd, excellent food and service. My standard order: Full Monty with extra large Caesar salad. I take half home for dinner.
Sister to Atlas Cafe in Courtenay (also on this list). One of my top restos in the region. Focus on local product. Great bar, great fresh sheet. Thurs: value for $ on pasta and pizzas.
Best nachos I've ever eaten. Great lamb burritos. Lots of imagination and fresh fruit (from the garden!) in the margaritas. Excellent service.
Way off the beaten track. We drove the long torturous road here because we'd heard about the "best" ceviche on the Island. It was pretty good. Next time I'm taking a boat in.
