Great service. I love the redesign - focus on pool in the bar, with the expansive (and quieter, no TVs) lounge in the atrium area. I also like that I can get food (relatively) late here.
The chicken & pork is either local or Vancouver Island, organic, super tasty. Love that they support local producers like Tannadice and Pattison Farms.
Tannadice organic pork and poultry is available in Courtenay at Edible Island (6th) and Butchers Block (4th). Amazing flavour!
My kids' favourite breakfast/brunch spot. Noisy, youthful crowd, excellent food and service. My standard order: Full Monty with extra large Caesar salad. I take half home for dinner.
Sister to Atlas Cafe in Courtenay (also on this list). One of my top restos in the region. Focus on local product. Great bar, great fresh sheet. Thurs: value for $ on pasta and pizzas.
Wednesdays: Caesar/Caesar nights. Both the cocktail and the salad at USG are good at regular prices; even better on C/C nights.
