nina: A good way to start the day in hip Daikanyama. It's a little pricey here, but the atmosphere is very lovely. After your fancy pancakes, you can mosey on over to the best Tsutaya bookstore in Tokyo.
nina: OMG, Sunday afternoon watch the aging Rockabilly dancers. They’re by the Meiji Shrine gate. Later, explore the park to see all the ravers, breakdancers and ukulele players. A beautiful, strange place.
nina: My favorite toy store in the entire world. Store is full of classic characters (Totoro, Hello Kitty, Mario etc.) and latest trends (an egg yolk with a butt crack??). Some staff even speak English.
nina: My favorite MUJI location. In addition to the usual stuff, there's an epic cafe, grocery store, global market of items that are MUJI-esque, and you can step inside of a MUJI house (they're for sale).
nina: You can find fancy souvenirs from all over Japan here. Also, check out everything else on this floor of the Hikarie shopping mall. There's some neat small galleries and a nice restaurant.
