If you're spending time in Hamburg, keep these spots on your radar. A list of everything from farmers markets to shops that are open late and places to answer the question "Where do I find ___?"
Balin: If you're in need of a present, swing by this place for inspiration. There are individually wrapped sweets from France and Italy on the counter - add a few to a gift bag to finish things off!
Balin: Fantastic spot to pick up a gift basket of local specialty items - from mustard and spices to jam, coffee and tea, this place is filled with great products and novelties from across Germany.
Balin: Head to the top floor for a great selection of alcohol, sweets, teas and spices. (It's also a nice place to take a break from shopping with a cheese plate and glass of wine!)
Balin: So close to the Land of Niederegger, it's probably sacrilegious to mention other marzipan. Even so, I have to give credit where it's due: these folks know what they're doing with sugar and almonds!
Balin: One man's trash is another man's treasure... Start your Saturday mornings with a stroll through this great flea market before heading off to brunch.
Balin: Naturally, the hipsters knew about this event before everyone else and of course it was less crowded and way better back then. Even so, they still show up. Because it's a thing worth showing up to.
Felix Genzmer: Check out the man-corner at the 2. Floor. Some chaurs magazines, a good mobile connection and a big window with a great view at the neuer wall. wish every shop had a place like that.
