Andres Orta: Everyone goes to Angkor Wat for sunrise, 90% of the people will go back into town for breakfast. Pack breakfast & enjoy the temples when they are deserted and cold.

Irina: Tomb Raider fame. Come here before 7am to soak in the peace and quiet and truly appreciate this place. Otherwise, you'll remember only the frustration of tour group bottlenecks in the narrow doorways.
Estelle Burtz: Also known as the ladies temple, this red temple is different from the others and deserves to be seen despite his distance from siem reap.
Irina: King's perspective onto the Victory Way from the Terrace is well worth the leisurely promenade. Do it in the early morning or late afternoon, so it is more pleasant.
Irina: Highlight of the first day! Gorgeous temple. Climbing up and down doubles as an adventure in itself. Wear shoes with good traction. Ruminate at the top. Don't look all the way down when descending.

Irina: The grounds around the temple are well-maintained, which, apparently, makes it a choice high-end banquet space... In any case, it is a pleasant stop.

Irina: It's worth a stop or a detour. You can climb the side steps to the wall to have some good photo ops. It runs straight into Terrace of the Elephants.
Irina: It is possible this is how the New York Central Park would look in a post-apocalyptic world. On a serious note, it was the highlight of the day.
Irina: Keep your location in mind. The temple has a "+" layout, so it's easy to get a bit lost. East Gate is much less crowded, so is better for exploratory wandering.
