Sunken remains of the battleship were declared a National Historic Landmark in 1989. Oil can still be seen from the ship; & is referred to as “Tears of the Arizona” or “black tears.”
Definitely jump! It's a great experience and makes it worth the drive. Just wait and watch someone else to know where to jump and where to climb back up.
Unless you have all day, pay to be shuttled out to the beach. It's a family business and they'll take you and pick you up for $10-15. Worth it!
