Find the sign along the hiking trail noting "Lt. Fenno's" action. This is the most likely locale for the beheading of a Hessian artilleryman, who rose up to seek his head as a galloping ghost.
Behind the club, toward the south and east is where the Headless Horseman is most often seen.
This is the battle Washington Irving refers to as "nameless," but is the site where the Hessian lost his head on October 31, 1776.
Take hike along Gory Brook Road - look for Spook and Witch on your map, to find the site of Mother Hulda the Witch who put a spell on Sleepy Hollow.
