When you're craving a cold beer or tasty pub fare in a great setting, look no further. Here are my favorite spots Uptown to grab a pint of beer with friends.
115 E 5th St (btwn N Tryon St & N College St), Charlotte, NC
Irish Pub · First Ward · 47 tips and reviews
Joshua Drown: Friendly staff, terrific atmosphere, often with great music playing on the huge patio. Perfect for after work cocktails, watching sports, or Sunday funday.
Joshua Drown: They have a real working fireplace, which is a great spot to warm up during the colder months. We just love the Jameson Glazed Steak Tips.
Joshua Drown: Great spot on the corner of College & 5th, central to Time Warner Arena, Blumenthal, and EpiCenter. Irish pub fare with lots of TVs for the sports fan.
Joshua Drown: Classic pub atmosphere tucked away in the French Quarter. Great friendly bartenders, cold beer, and good food options. I love the fish and chips.
Joshua Drown: Crazy good sandwiches, really good wings, pizzas, and crunchy, salty, delicious tater tots. A wall of flat screens delivers the NFL and college football action excellently.
Joshua Drown: Well known for their sandwiches, but they also make a mean salad. I love the Grilled Chicken Ceasar Salad, it's loaded with tasty chicken.
Joshua Drown: The patio overlooking Tryon is a great spot to people watch. Really good beer specials throughout the week, including Two for Tuesdays and $1 drafts on Thursdays.
