Worth going to this nicely done and informative museum. The dug-out canoe which (almost) circumnavigated the world is - I expect - unique.

A well that dates back to the gold rush, sits in the building's lobby. The ghost of a child, who fell in during that era is said to be seen playing in the vicinity.
