The Allegan County Fair is a great fair for concerts and rides. The animal barns are pretty fun for kids too. A great event! But beware of the traffic and parking - it can be a pain :)
Check out the arboretum off Geddes road. Probably one of the most relaxing and peaceful parks I've ever been to.

Black Lotus Brewing Company is the only thing worthwhile in Clawson. Even the freakin' squirrels are overweight and drooling!

The trains are ridiculous here. Prepare to be stopped almost every time that you drive through. Sometimes even for 15+ minutes at a time.

Love the Fennville Station restaurant with yummy Italian food and sitting in an actual train car for dinner is awesome!
A frighteningly long, slow train. If you are stuck on the right side, turn around and go to Dairy Queen for a bit.

Beautiful, tree-studded community. Unique homes that were a haven to Detroit pro athletes in the 60's and 70's. Awesome recreation department.

Make sure you hit up Redamacs while you're in town! It's seasonal though, so make sure they're open (late Spring through early Fall).
One of the best cities in SE Michigan. Great family city, and the school district has made a great turn-around in the last few years.

Park your vehicle an you can literally walk anywhere in town, be it the beaches, piers, marina's and shops
This town may be small, but when rush hour hits, this town has the traffic of a big city. Pontiac Trail is usually a nightmare.
The Sturgis Toy Run used to be a great area motorcycle ride and party. Not sure if it's still around, but as a fundraiser for toys for area kids, it was always a great time!
Check out the Ox Roast which occurs during the Water Festival. This usually takes place around mid June depending on the year.
Hit Kona grill for a great (and cheap) burger for lunch. Brio in Summerset south and get the tenderloin chopped salad. Grape leaves on 15 and Coolidge is a great spot for middle-eastern food! -Andy
Have the burger at the Wayland Hotel in the middle of town. It's bigger than the bun!
We got great places to eat, Abe's coney island, & The Bomber is awesome too. Try the cap 'n crunch French toast it's the greatest.
