The unassuming family restaurant Hoskins might be best meal around. The fried shrimp were fantastic, hushpuppies were second only to Ella's, and the peanut-butter pie topped it off.
Loved the pound of crab legs, and the grilled mahi mahi was pretty good too. Oysters were pretty boring though.
Surprisingly good seafood in the crowded Barefoot Landing. We had great grilled tilapia, mahi mahi tacos and shrimp & grits.
Catch 22 here: possibly the best hushpuppies in the area, but terrible food. Next time we'll take them to go, and find another place to eat.
The honey croissants were as good as promised, and so were the baby back ribs. Also a fan of their BBQ sauce.
Great burger & fries. I ate a cheeseburger, but the options are endless (including a peanut butter s'mores version). Oddly a burger can feel like a healthy break after endless meals of fried fish.
Pretty great wines, and nice grounds to spend some time relaxing with food & drink. Worth the :30 drive from the beach when you're looking to avoid the crowds in the afternoon.
Cool food & shopping area built on and around a lake. Feed the turtles, explore the general store, try a restaurant and eat some ice cream.
The wine is pretty uninspiring, but the Saturday music festivals with live music and BBQ are a nice way to spend a few hours relaxing.
The reviews say this place is awesome donuts, but it's only because there may not be anything better in the area. Only slightly better than Dunkin Donuts
