In fact, I read a tip on 4Sq that coffee is very good here, so I went out of my way - from the Zuid station hall - to stop by and taste it.
I find this spot quite special. The cookies are home made and right there. I went for years thinking that Melly was a lady who was baking the cookies... Well, I discovered that it's a man :)
Although I must say that I'd avoid this particular spot if I can help it - it grew to be crowded and very loud. Unfortunately my girlfriends lives right by it and we have our coffee dates there :(
