Hoover Dam was built during the Great Depression, between 1931 and 1936. The project employed thousands of workers, cost more than 100 lives and gave rise to Boulder City.
Nice hotel for the area. They have a bowling alley and pool tables, a bar and a nice restaurant. There is a pool, for nice weather.

Big John's is a former gas station. As a result, atmosphere is pretty sterile. But food is good and very cheap.
Wow this hotel is not what you'd expect from the La Quinta brand. Rooms are plush and back up to the Zion Red Rocks! A must stay when in Zion.
Angel's landing is one the most beautiful places in the world--well worth a moderate hike.
Food was very good and portions were huge! Appetizer was enough for 4 and dessert also. White wine margaritas were a very good discovery!
Awesome food, but make sure you bring a big appetite! The $5 beer sampler of Wasatch brew is also hard to pass up! :-)
