Fox Theater in downtown. The art deco architecture is to die for as is the gold leafing that covers all the details in the top half of the building.
Little hole in the wall family owned business that has delicious food at great prices. Have been eating here for over a decade. They have even made us lunch to-go during their "closed" hours.
The only sushi I will eat. Chef Mike is amazing. He use to be on Jefferson. He rewards his loyal customers with exotic dishes like wild boar salad. Of course he shot & killed the boar himself.
Bring a picnic and a blanket. Enjoy the beautiful view. If you are really quiet you'll be rewarded with the joy of watching several large bucks eating nearby. Beautiful relaxing place.
Even if you don't pay to go into the buildings (although you should) you will be mesmerized by the gorgeous lush gardens. The views are transcendent. This would be a brilliant spot for a first date.
