A detached fortress providing additional protection to the eastern land approach was built in 1462. In 1538 the Senate approved a new, much stronger Revelin Fortress. It took 11 years to build.

GoT fans eat your heart out. Go to the little museum and check out all the filming locations. Then got for a dip in the rocky beach. The peacocks are lovely to watch.
Very sheltered beach, lovely and secluded but is completely in the shade fairly early (4pm at end of September)

Sit outside for beautiful sea views. The best views are from the lower terrace but there they serve only a limited number of dishes (salads etc.)
Great food, everything we tried was great including the salads , duck burger , pasta and salmon. also good interior and service. highly recommended.

try the delicious mixed grill (enough to feed 2) which is made on the outside BBQ. the views of the Old Town from this rooftop restaurant are epic.
