Mike Silverman: Some of the best microbrew in America. Too many great ones to list; if you are a first-timer don't miss Copperhead, Oatmeal Stout, and Ad Astra. If in season, Octoberfest, Lemongrass Rye, C4, & Marzen
Mike Silverman: Excellent beer on the West side of Lawrence. Of particular note, the Bitter Professor IPA is amazing. Food-wise, don't miss the nachos and calzones.

Mike Silverman: Merchants has 30 draft beers as well as 10+ bottles. The well-curated beer list includes a variety of hard-to-find beers from across the country plus selections from Free State and 23rd Street.
Mike Silverman: Best neighborhood liquor store in Kansas. Great selection of curated beers, and it is fun to make your own six pack. Jeff (the owner) is there during the days and is fun to chat with.

Mike Silverman: The basement beer hall is open weekends and has its own set of taps with some pretty unique stuff. You can also order downstairs beers upstairs, even when the downstairs is closed.
Mike Silverman: One of the best beer selections in town. Make your own six pack from the fridges in the back. 22oz micros are on the shelves in the middle of the store.
Mike Silverman: A unique, casual, relaxing bar vibe complimented by a small but very well-selected collection of 6-8 taps. In the past they've had rare finds like Fin du Monde and Boulevard Chocolate Ale.
