Nigel: This is a great restaurant for a special occasion. The food, service and ambience are all excellent. Try the gnocco fritto.

Nigel: Beautiful location for lunch or dinner overlooking the lake. Excellent food. Wait time between courses a bit too long.

Nigel: Great range of cheese but also pasta, meat and wine. Excellent, knowledgeable service. Aperitivo in the warmer months.

Best Western Italia: Il Palazzo Estense, residenza di Francesco III d'Este, Duca di Modena e signore di Varese dal 1765 al 1780, vanta uno dei giardini più belli d'Italia, nato ad imitazione di quelli viennesi.

Nigel: This is one of the most beautiful and best maintained parks in Varese. Lots of lawn and shady areas, and also cafe and playground.
