Take the ferry across Jenny Lake and hike up to Inspiration Point (No. 3 on the list). The ferry costs $10 round trip or $7 one way. The ferry cuts of 2 1/2 miles of hiking.
It's inspiring. For a short hike you get a nice view of the lake and the valley below. You do get occasional views into the mountains, but the view into the valley steals the show.
An impressive dam that controls the flow of the water between the enormous Jackson Lake and Snake River.
The ONLY place to eat in GTNP in my mind. Leek's has great pizza (thin crust) and ice cream. It's too bad that they close on Labor Day weekend.
