Rex Hammock: From Thursday through Sunday, the best waitress in the world, Mary, works the early shift. Tell her I said hello. My wife loves the spice (ginger) pancakes. I go with the buttermilk traditional kind.
Rex Hammock: Plan in advance as this is not only one of Nashville's hottest restaurants, it's one of the hottest new restaurants in the U.S. Very small, very expensive but not very stuffy. Awesome!
Rex Hammock: A classic Nashville "meat and three" (mean and three sides). Cafeteria style soul / southern food as authentic as you'll find in Nashville. Get there before noon to beat the line.
Rex Hammock: Like Arnolds, a southern food spot that goes way back. Great fried chicken and biscuits. A bit out of town, so not advised if you don't have a car.
Rex Hammock: Pronounced "Cane," not like the singer's name. I include this expense-account steak-fish restaurant because if you are a business traveler and are entertaining a client, it's a please-everyone place.
Rex Hammock: Upscale eatery in the historic Hermitage Hotel, across from the Tennessee State Capitol. The men's restroom is as famous as the restaurant. (Not affiliated with the chain of the same name)
