Ross WS: One of Beijing's Hidden Gems, housed in a 111 year old building that used to be a dormitory for Catholic missionaries to the Xishiku Catholic church 3 mins walk away.
Ross WS: Located just down Wudaoying Hutong this coffee shop offers a wide selection of different beans and syphoned coffee which makes for an entertaining spectacle as well as tasting great.
Ross WS: This bookshop/coffee shop/library has a great atmosphere and often hosts talks by well known speakers. It also has a good collection of books on history & politics that are difficult to buy in the PRC
Ross WS: Well trained baristas and good coffee, they even have a small in house roaster! One of the best caffeine fixes in Beijing. The decor reminds me of the Rapha Cycle Club of London (also a coffee shop!)
Ross WS: A fantastic cafe with a wide range of drinks, It looks tiny from the outside but opens up once you are inside. I also highly recommend the breakfasts (very affordable) and the almond desert!
Ross WS: This serves fantastic coffee and quite possibly the largest latte in Beijing (it comes in a soup bowl!). I can also highly recommend their "Hot Sandwiches" (Panini)
Ross WS: Located opposite the Broadway Cinematheque it is attached to a bookstore specialising in art and design books (in Chinese). This coffee shop is a perfect complement to a day at the cinema opposite.

Ross WS: Not a café for everyone, very dark and unusual decor! However it is all well complemented by good music and quirky atmosphere, it also doubles up as a good bar with a selection of beers and whiskeys!
Ross WS: This is more of a restaurant than a café. It serves a selection of traditional English dishes and more, has a good atmosphere and service has usually been quick. Out the back tends to be quieter.
Ross WS: This is one of the most beautiful cafés in Beijing, as you enter be prepared to be overwhelmed with an array of fresh flowers. The café also has great rooftop seating and serves illy coffee,

Ross WS: Very modern clean café with great coffee. The café also has separate area's for smoking and non-smoking. Located in a very interesting area of Wangjing.
Ross WS: Although I would like to keep away from the chain coffee shops this one's location is too outstanding to miss, if you look out the front window you have a view Yong He Gong (Llama Temple).
