Really friendly staff. Get the mixed starters platter - lots of nice things to try.
Very good size zoo, plenty to see. Feeds and talks are interesting. Worth the adult admission of £15 but there's 10% off when bought online. Car park is Pay&Display at £2.50 and cafe is expensive.

Get away from the neon and noise for half an hour and enjoy a pot of tea and a tier of sandwiches and cakes, served in fine china crockery, amidst tranquil surroundings at the end of the historic pier
Well worth a 5 minute drive south from the Pleasure Beach if you're looking for something a little calmer than full-on central Blackpool. Historic, quaint, but plenty to keep the kids entertained.
