Looks like a diner. Puts out meals better than most fine dining establishments in the city. Simple but delicious. Try the chopped steak or the brisket. Consistently great.
This sleeper of a place in El Dorado the dressed up cousin of Loyal Hound in Santa Fe. Chef is in love with the pig, and does a sous vide pork chop that is so tender it will knock your socks off.
Strip mall storefront should not deceive. This place serves awesome farm-to-table food - comfort dishes and great sandwiches. Also try their "sister" restaurant in El Dorado called Arable.
The bar is definitely the place to be. Can get anything from a porterhouse to a salad. Energetic on most nights.
on Upper Canyon Road -- this cozy little restaurant (a winter favorite for polenta stew) and their expansive outdoor patio (a spring & summer favorite for lunch, tea + sweets). Al fresco at its best.

The view over Santa Fe Plaza is terrific, but this little pizzeria serves remarkably great pizza with artisan and blue corn pie crusts.
