New to York College? Don't worry! This list will fill you in on many of the popular places where YCP students go around the city. Food, nightlife, shopping, entertainment, sports, and whatever else!
Todd Shellock: A favorite spot for college students, especially after weekend parties die down. Wing Wednesdays are always popular and feature $5 pitchers of Yuengling. Dance floor, 2 pool tables, great cheesefries.
Todd Shellock: The Two-Slice Special is clutch! Get two slices and they throw in a fountain soda for you. If you're having a case of the "Moondays," all-you-can-eat wings on Mondays is a good way to get rid of them.
Todd Shellock: It's conveniently located right across from York College's West Campus and is open 24 hours. Good food menu (mmmm buffalo chicken nuggets). Get gas BEFORE school breaks because they raise the prices.
Todd Shellock: You'll almost always see someone you know, which may be good or bad. The fitness center is very clean and still looks new. The field house is usually open for anyone. But don't forget your student ID!
Todd Shellock: Even though I hate Wal-Mart, it's helpful for college students on budgets. They have everything you need, including groceries. There's also a McDonald's inside. One of the best for "Wal-Mart Bingo."
Todd Shellock: They always have great Foursquare specials! One of the best bars in York, and the outside deck is nice on breezy fall, summer and spring nights.
Todd Shellock: I love this place! They have some good deals for college students (usually free shoe rentals). If you're a YCP student, the bowling courses held here are a relaxing break from the rest of the day.
Todd Shellock: Look for the new additions around the ballpark each season. 2012 has new food choices such as the Walking Taco and new pretzel dogs. And the Hot Corner is now the Hop Corner, featuring microbrews.
Todd Shellock: Since opening in 2006, tradition has been for student supporters of York men's soccer to stand along the scoreboard side fence. But w/ the addition of bleachers, this has since seemed to change.
Todd Shellock: Kinsley Field is home to the York College field hockey as well as men's and women's lacrosse. Bring sunglasses because the sun tends to get in your eyes sometimes when sitting on the bleachers.
Jon Landis: This is a good place to start a run or ride on the rail trail. York College security drives past here frequently and it's never full. Just be sure to head out going west (if you are standing on the tr
Todd Shellock: Catch a movie before going shopping at the Wal-Mart next door. It's located in the West Manchester Mall, so grab some Auntie Anne's or Chick-Fil-A, too!
Todd Shellock: Mostly upper classmen college students live here and throw parties on the weekends, but don't walk alone at night! Seriously. It's not only college students that live on Jackson.
Todd Shellock: If you're a YCP student and live on main campus, this is your closest option for a convenience store. Not as good as Rutter's or Sheetz, but still better than the Sunoco next to it.
Todd Shellock: I've been here a few times as a college student because of multiple injuries. I was lucky it was located right across from campus! And I know I'm not the only one!

Todd Shellock: York Fairgrounds is host to the "country's oldest fair" each year in early September. They have some pretty popular musicians play during the fair. Everyone should attend at least once in their life.

visitPA: Whether it's Chilly Dilly's ice cream, JR's fries or Firecracker chicken, always something good to eat. Great spot to shop for fresh meats & produce too.
Todd Shellock: They have an outside dining area that makes for a great place to talk with the people you come with. Get your card out and ready since they don't always ask for it.
