Some of the best Japanese in the Lower Mainland. Try to the Aki Maruyaki, it's heavenly, and the House Roll is massive and fabulous. Lobster Sashimi is amazing... so fresh the claws were still moving!
Their pistachio is the best there is (if they can source the right nuts), cremolina divine and they make their heavenly chocolate from the best dark stuff without any added sugar! brilliant!
I know it's a chain, but the food is always great. This restaurant, with its experimental kitchen, is better than the rest & the washrooms are the best I've ever been in anywhere.
Just a good breakfast & burger joint... it would be retro if it wasn't just the same old place it's been since I was a kid.

Fabulous fish & chips from this family-run back asswards kitch retro dive on the beach. I've been going here since the '80s and it's still the same.
It's hard to get better food for the money than at Ikea's restaurant, upstairs. It's totally kid friendly too! Try the Swedish meatballs & the salmon... yummy!
