Day 2 - Embark on your luxury cruise aboard 'Insignia' in Civitavecchia, the port for legendary Rome, Italy's treasure of history and architecture.
Day 3 - Overlook the Bay of Naples near the legendary ruins of Pompeii. This was also home to the femmes fatales who lured sailors to rocky shores, the Sirens of Greek mythology.
Day 4 - Seeing ancient wonders like the 12th-century Capuchin monastery and the beautiful 11th-century cathedral and cloister. Clinging to steep slopes above a sparkling bay, Positano charms all.
Day 5 - Messina features the world's largest astronomical clock, the lovely Messina cathedral. Another popular Sicilian city, Taormina, features a prominent Greek amphitheater & views of Mount Etna.
Day 6 - Arguably the setting for Shakespeare's 'The Tempest', Corfu offers a lush landscape of olive groves, wildflowers and white sand beaches. It also celebrates the historic Old Town of Corfu.
Day 7 - Known as The Pearl of the Adriatic, Dubrovnik is an ancient walled city on the Dalmation Coast that retains centuries-long allure with historic churches to ancient sculptures to chic shops.
Day 8 - Free of cars and steeped in art, this city of canals is a masterpiece in itself. Travel by gondola or on foot through the winding, narrow alleyways. Venice is romantic and magical.
