Mike Gross: Start your visit to Boulder here: like a local you'll be putting hiking, health, and nature first. From the summit you can see all the eats that'll replenish your fluids & calories lost on the hike.
Colorado: With a network of trails to suit every level of hiker, get up-close with the Flatirons (the slanting slabs of sandstone that are Boulder’s most recognizable landmark) framed by a beautiful meadow.
Mike Gross: knowledgable staff that aren't chipper but exactly as you'd expect from a dusty used book store like this: quiet bordering on irritable. pitch perfect.
Mike Gross: You can usually get in free if you stand around the gate on the north end of the field. After a bit, when students leave to imbibe, most don't come back. Security will hand you free pass.
Mike Gross: on the west end of the quad, there's a little wooded creek that provides quiet and seclusion from the crowds. good place to read & not be seen.
Mike Gross: make sure you look hip & hit Boulder's nicest place to imbibe with good-looking people. people like myself usually don't feel comfortable. but is nice for, say, New Years Eve or special occasions.
