Andre Mohr: Nong Khiaw's most inviting restaurant with good views and the usual standards. Fish larb is good, not cheap, but nice quality

Andre Mohr: Great concept, only open Tuesdays and Fridays. Pizza is as good as any you would get in Italy. Lasagne too, is nice. Not too hard to find. Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended

Andre Mohr: Come here for some real authentic Lao food, not the sanitised version of the Old Town. Roasted native chicken comes with head and feet. Som tam will make your nails curl from chili and shrimp paste

Andre Mohr: Good bar, good prices, nice people, and, surprisingly, good burgers here

Andre Mohr: Prime location, best people watching spot in town. Fancy little wine bar, expensive, but the happy hour is a good deal. Great place for a drink

Andre Mohr: If you only have time to try one restaurant serving traditional Lao cuisine in LPB, make it this one. The food is really excellent and while it's not cheap, at least it's not a rip off like others

Andre Mohr: Hive is closed, the new place is Delihla's. A big, all in one, bar/café /restaurant, nicely designed, with decent food and good prices by elevated LPB standards. Good place to stop for drink/food

Andre Mohr: For a backpacker 'Mexican' in South East Asia, this place serves surprisingly tasty and nicely presented food. I especially liked the mango salsa that came with the burrito. Recommended

Andre Mohr: Great riverside bar with hammocks and tubes in the water for some serious chilling. Standard prices. One of the best hangouts in town

Andre Mohr: Home cooked Thai and German food, tried both the Thai Curry and the German meat balls with fried potatoes. Tasty! Recommended

Andre Mohr: Cheap and friendly backpacker café. Good larb, big portions

Andre Mohr: Happy hour only 2 times a week (We&Fr) and the drinks are not cheap, but the pub grub here is quality and worth the price tag. Great wedges, big portions.

Andre Mohr: This place is expensive, with 20k beer and even most snacks around 50k. But the views are indeed nice and it's worth the short trip out of town. Huge menu, and what we tried was good.

Andre Mohr: Very local drinking place despite the Old Town location. 10k for a big beer. Cheaper than most other places in this area. Food is authentic, but quite average. 25k for Larb Ped.

Andre Mohr: Fantastic new gastro bar with pizza from the wood fired oven. Choose a classic, create your own, or go for the Lao pizza with larb and basil. Mouth watering fusion food. Prices okay for the area

Andre Mohr: Friendly café/deli/wine shop with good wifi and ac. Cappu is 15k and not bad. More comfy seats would be nice

Andre Mohr: Modern little café with surprisingly good coffee and ac. Cappuccino is a reasonable 15k. Only downside, no wifi here!

Andre Mohr: For a condo café this place isn't half bad. Prices are moderate and the food is very decent. If you stay at Royal Regency and you're feeling peckish, don't hesitate to order some comfort food here

Andre Mohr: Had a delivery. Food is pretty good, although it's not cheap. Nasi Lemak was lacking anchovies and peanuts but the taste was delicious. Squid curry had an interesting taste, very good, too.

Andre Mohr: Fantastic coffees at decent prices. Only one comfy sofa, but a nice view on the impossibly well stocked shelves of BIG

Andre Mohr: This is one of the best Pho places in Saigon. It's a lot less busy and slightly cheaper than the famous branch in PNL but every bit as delicious and more friendly. 60k for a big bowl

Andre Mohr: The pho here is great but I would advise you to avoid this busy and more expensive branch on Pham Ngu Lao and visit their branch on Tran Hung Dao instead. Same quality, friendlier service and cheaper

Andre Mohr: Been coming here for almost two decades. Prices have risen considerably and it's an expensive restaurant now, but the food is still great. Bo Tung Xeo is a must, of course. Massive frog legs, yummy

Andre Mohr: Expat heaven, reasonably priced wine and Italian coffees plus some super tasty and cheap Vietnamese made charcuterie. You can buy in the deli and consume in the café. A must!

Andre Mohr: It's Sushi Tei, so the quality is good and consistent. But in other countries Sushi Tei is a budget franchise, in HCMC they charge a lot more than in KL or Jakarta for the same dishes and quality
