Lots of great places to eat - then walk off all that food with a wander around the harbour!
Legend has it the rock formation was once a troll turned to stone by the morning sunlight! Wander the black sand beach under the watchful eyes of scores of seals!
Hiking trails of various lengths, if you have the time (took approx 90 mins) do the longest as the scenery is just incredible. Was lucky enough to be here during snow at sunset = breathtaking
Incredible. The entire place is steaming, boiling, bubbling, fizzing and very, very, VERY smelly!
Cannot recommend it highly enough. Go at sunset & float in warm water staring out at the changing colours of the sky through the steam!
Absolutely breathtaking. You'll get frozen and soaked walking around the back of it but DO IT ANYWAY!
Architectural gallery space, the permanent exhibitions of Icelandic art are worth seeing. Nice selection of books in the shop

Friendly staff, clean changing area. Incredibly relaxing (pool floats available, so you can just lay back & drift!) One of the hotter thermal pools I visited.
