Unlike so many convention centers or conferencehotels, it's near cool, trendy Austin restaurants. Just walking distance from 6th street and the Austin bats
Pretty standard spaciousconvention center. What I liked most is the skillful signs to direct you to the correct place. Very helpful when you're lost and need to get to a meeting or a seminar quickly
You don't feel at the end of ur trip that you've seen just a tiny financial district chunk of the city! You get a good sense of some fun parts of Austin even if you're listening to papers from 8am-5pm
Great venue with a lot to do within walking distance. Check out 6th st. and the 2nd st. district for fun and dining. Take the short walk to the Congress Street bridge to watch the bats at dusk.

Definitely arrive at least a half hour early for each session, and grab a cup of Jo! Remember that the larger sessions and keynotes take place in the downstairs exhibit halls.
