The place is huge and has a beautiful architecture. I would strongly recommend history buffs to visit this place. Lots of memorabilias and artifacts surrounding Chiang Kai-Shek's life are on display.
This imposing white monument with its distinctive blue octagonal roof is Taipei’s greatest cultural landmark. The museum below has some fine Kuomintang political party propaganda. Read more
Amazing architecture with a lot of history inside. Ran by volunteers. Bonus: Check out the Winnie the Pooh Exhibition while its in town (9/18/16 is the last day)
Why come here?CKS was an important man who played a big part in shaping 🇹🇼's history! Also worth 2c d arch & changing of d guards ceremony.4those who r interested in 🇹🇼's past, visit d museum also.
A must-see in Taipei. Beautiful surroundings, and the museum inside the memorial is one of my favorites, explaining the history of the ROC in Taiwan in a surprisingly politically-neutral way.
Very impressive building and park grounds. Nice place to take a walk and witness the unintentionally hilarious changing of guards every hour on the hour (a lá Monty Python’s Ministry of Silly Walks).
Really love this piece of architecture, much better than Sun Yat-sen's Memorial Hall. Don't forget to watch the hourly changing of Royal Guards, though expect some Chinese crowds.
Beautiful place. Walk around outside in the trees and flowers. Go inside and learn about CKS. Also home to the Theater, a bookstore, some food options.
Worth seeing for its scope, but not much else besides the bronze statue of Kai-Shek. The weekends will have you people watching. That's when the area really comes to life.
An absolute place to visit to understand more about Taiwan and their efforts toward democracy. The top floor with statue and terras looking down the city will be impressive.
This monument for Chiang Kai-shek is a must-visit. Inside, the massive Memorial Hall is where you'll learn about his life and the history of Taiwan. This place has its own MRT Station (Xindian line).
Huge plaza with concert and theatre hall on each side. On the end it's memorial site. Very beautiful structures. Inside memorial hall there is a change of guards every full hour.
