Opened in 1930, this is my favourite afternoon tea spot after soba noodle lunch at Kanda Matsuya. Be aware that photos aren't allowed so unplug & enjoy the moment as this is the real Tokyo.

Very cute dessert and tea restaurant, in a traditional Tokyo house. They have these delicious fried pastries, and if it’s wintertime, get the mochi.

Est. 1930. Sweet shop famous for Awa Zenzai (steamed millet and red bean paste) and Age Manju (deep-fried bun with red bean paste). Building is original, wooden.

【東京都選定歴史的建造物】昭和5年(1930)に建築の入母屋造り。２階の欄干に竹と梅模様が彫られ、軒下に木製の提灯が下げられています。外観は屋根と庇で４層にも見えます。

平日の15:00頃に訪問。この時点で揚げまんじゅうは全て売り切れ。引っ切り無しに訪れるお客さんは男性のグループが多かったです。御膳しるこ(¥770 粒なし)を注文しました。餡はけっこうな甘さで、小さめの焼き餅が二つ入っています。お茶には桜の花びらが浮かんでいました。次はぜひ揚げまんじゅうを食べたい。

1930年創業。戦火を免れ今尚残る建物は、東京都の選定歴史的建造物。ほのかに店内を漂う揚げ油の香りでわかる通り、揚げまんじゅうが名物の甘味処です。

アニメ「ラブライブ！」で主役の高坂穂乃果の家のモデルとして使用しました。店自体は落ち着いた雰囲気で個人的に気に入ります。店で食べる以外にお土産もできますが、賞味期限に注意しましょう。

創業1930年の老舗。アニメ「ラブライブ！」で主人公高坂穂乃果の実家として登場。それ以外にも、池波正太郎作品や、仮面ライダーにも登場していたりする。

池波正太郎のエッセイを読んでいきたいと思っていた場所。建物のたたずまい、周囲の雰囲気が昔の東京、という感じがして風情がある。名物のあわぜんざい、みつまめ、とてもうまかった。

お土産の揚げまんじゅうは少し時間がかかるそうです。店内で何か食べるなら、最初にお土産も注文しておくとスムーズです。
