Make this your first stop for everything. Cleaning supplies, office supplies, kitchen utensils, etc. You can stock up on everything for cheap here. Biggest Dollar Tree selection in town.
Best Target in town. Stock up here. Fairmount/Camiluus Target is a great second choice if you live on the west side of town.
Wegmans is consistantly rated the best grocery store in the nation and this is its best store in Syracuse. Just don't go sunday nights (restocking) or weekday evenings (huge rush).
Need stuff in bulk? Until Costco opens up in late 2013/early 2014, this is the best warehouse club in town. Don't bother with BJ's. They're over-priced w/ poor selection.
Oftentimes the cheapest place in town to buy gas. However, the 93 octane gas here does not have as much power/oomph as Sunoco's 93 octane gas. Must decide between saving money and engine performance.
If you prefer Walmart over Target (seriously?), this is *the* Walmart to go to. The largest in town unless you want to make the 45min drive south to Cortland.
It's absolutely critical that you stop here and buy some long underwear before the winter sets in. I recommend the base layer 3.0 for Syracuse winters.

This outlet mall is very unimpressive. However, if you are in dire need for cheap apparel or a shopping escape, this is your best bet.
It's a mall. Happens to be the 6th largest mall in America. But don't get your hopes up, it's disappointing. Get what you need and get out.
Until you find a local mechanic, Goodyear Auto Service is your best auto care chain bet in 'Cuse. They do it all (almost) at an OK price w/ no fuss. This location is the friendliest of 'em all.
Best local mechanic I've used so far. Tomlin (front desk receptionist) is one of the friendliest people ever. OK priced, fast-ish turn around, good service.
Best car wash in town to get winter grime off, but always a line. Get the $16 Super Kiss Plus wash. Sign up on e-mail list for coupons. Go weekdays midday for most thorough wash. Weekends are rushed.
