Concerts of symphonic and chamber music, opera performances, and concerts by the most renowned performers from Lithuania and the rest of the world are held in Congress Hall.
The first opera performance took place as early as in September 1636 in the theatre of the palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania. In 1974 the LNOBT moved to a new building in A. Vienuolio Street.
This monument is dedicated to the famous American composer, guitarist and singer Frank Zappa. This performer distinguished for his original works, is called the father of modern music.
Many ensembles have their offices in the Vilnius Teacher's House and also rehearse and perform here. Musical evenings and concerts are regularly organised there.
In the square next to St. Catherine's Church and the Benedictine Monastery, there is a bust of Stanislaw Moniuszko - a famous Polish composer who lived in Vilnius in 1840 - 1858.

St.Johns' Church was the first parish church in Vilnius, built in the 14th century when the Jesuits arrived to Vilnius. When the University was established in 1579, the cherched was handed over to it.
During Čiurlionis’ time it was both a family house and a shop, features reproductions of his paintings and a small concert space which stages musical productions almost every Wednesday evening.
In 19th century a theatre was established in the City Hall. It was the place to stage dramas, operas and various concerts. Today, official events, concerts and exhibitions are held in the Town Hall.

In the 17th-18th century the noblemen Ogiński bought houses located there. Later reconstructed the palace in the style of Classicism. Now the Ogiński Palace houses "Youth" and "Lėlė" (Puppet) theatres
Stop for a moment by the Lithuanian National Philarmonic, where the first Lithuanian opera “Birutė” was performed. Today it is one of the most luxurious Historicism-style buildings in Vilnius.
